MOC – Lube Oil console Modernization

About The Project

Major midstream company required the modernization of existing lubricating system for turbine engines.

Solution required a thorough MOC process to replace the old equipment and facilitate new console.

Lubrication system (LOC) in a turbine engine for natural gas compression are pivotal for sustaining optimal performance and longevity. LOCs mitigate friction between moving parts, reducing wear and enhancing efficiency. The system facilitates heat dissipation, preventing overheating, and maintains components at their designed temperatures. By minimizing corrosion and contamination risks, the lubrication system ensures a reliable and smooth operation crucial for the effective compression of natural gas. In essence, it is a fundamental component that safeguards the turbine’s functionality, minimizes wear, and maintains operational precision in the demanding environment of natural gas compression.

Additional Scope Included

  • New Air Cooled Heating Exchanger system and wall mount.
  • New de-mister
  • Improved instrumentation
  • Installation, testing and commissioning during planned outage.
  • Revamped glycol heating
